I hit two questions for every of you.
First, what do you guys think is the prizewinning coverall IDE? I same writing Java, XHTML, PHP, Javascript, CSS, C , JSP, etc.. I would favour if it had the Java and C compilers built-in as tools if possible. It would also be pleasant if it had structure hilighting for every of the above.
Second, what do you conceive is the prizewinning web hosting company for a developer not a designer for things same Tomcat, Apache, phpMyAdmin, and stuff same that?

I have phpMyAdmin in my computer and i can separate the sites i prefabricated in it. My question is what category of web host I requirement to separate my website? does it has to hit support to phpMyAdmin, or it is enought if it has PHP support?
I've never put a website on internet, some recommendations with the webhosting?

I am a newbie to an extent when it comes to the practicalities of web design. I am currently designing scheme pages locally on my computer using apache, but unfortunately it is proving very arduous to establish destined PHP- attendant features on my computer so that I crapper test code out locally.

I was wondering, is it possible to amend a website, held on the outside servers of the hosting company, but without open access to it? Is it common nature to amend websites on the servers or is it better to complete it locally then meet upload it.

I would like to run a socks5 proxy on a scheme computer from a hosting provider. It is a UNIX server, but I do not hit shell access. I can separate whatever ultimate tangency commands cd, dir, pwd with a ultimate php playscript that uses grouping but I crapper not run ./configure, make, or make install.
Is there a way to separate socks5 on this server? I proven using phproxy, but it doesn't seem to impact on anything but port 80. Is there an alternative socks, http or https proxy that I can ingest with programs like Firefox.
Note: I would favour to have a sacred server, kinda than use tar

My scheme patron Bluehost has the following version numbers traded in cPanel...
Apache 2.2.15
PHP 5.2.13
MySQL 5.1.47-community-log
And according to the MAMP website, MAMP includes these versions...
Apache 2.0.63
PHP 5.2.13 & 5.3.2
MySQL 5.1.44
So PHP matches but Athapascan and MySQL are assorted versions. Can I use MAMP or do I have to establish manually?
I am streaming Tiger 10.4.11 on a PowerPC G4.
